Since this is the second book in a series, my review will be brief.

 

I could not finish this book. It got so boring in the middle that I had to quite with 200 pages left and read the ending. The writing, the plotline, the characters, all bored me so much. I was reading it, and I found I just didn't care any more. So I just put it down.

 

Overall, very disappointed. DNF.

 

CONTENT: I didn't read the whole book, so this may not be very accurate. Kissing, some extremely gross and disturbing things, and no swearing that I can recall.

This book was absolutely adorable. A prefect read for a lazy summer day!

 

The protagonist, Isadora, was great. She was so feisty, and even though she reminded me a bit of Evie from PARANORMALCY, I still loved her. Ry was great too, along with Tyler and Scott. The story was a bit predictable, but I still loved it.

 

The only thing I didn't enjoy were Isadora's views on love. They were so childish, and when I could kind of see where she was coming from, she was too immature to really listen to what her parents were saying and their reasoning.

 

But other than that small detail, this book was so enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

 

CONTENT: Pretty clean. Kissing, mild swearing, innuendoes, and mild violence.

REVIEW:

 

I'm not quite sure about this book. On one hand, the mythology was fantastic, but on the other, I found the writing style rather bland. Let's just go with 4 stars and call it even.

The mythology in this book was absolutely fascinating. The Atlantean mythology combined with the sci-fi aspects of the dome were great. There's also some dystopian thrown in there too, with the world being ravaged outside and the government controlling that small worlds under the domes where the kids go to camp. All of this made for a very interesting book.

THE LOST CODE'S downfall though was the writing. It felt really bland sometimes, and made parts of the book very boring. But other than that, I really enjoyed this book! I would highly recommend reading it!

CONTENT: Kissing, no swearing I can recall, and lots of violence, none of it gory.

REVIEW:

Because this is the fifth book in a series, I will keep this review brief to avoid spoilers.

Oh my sweet goodness this book was good. SO GOOD! Sydney is fabulous, Adrian is as swoon-worthy as ever, and all of the new characters were fantastic as well.

The only thing I didn't like was how some of the characters made certain decisions that made absolutely no sense, or made decisions out of pure stupidity. Some of them were SO STUPID. Why, Adrian, why? Stop drinking and look for your girlfriend!!




But other than that, this book was fabulous. A great addition to the BLOODLINES series!

CONTENT: Kissing, implied sex (hardly any details whatsoever), no swearing that I can recall, and moderate violence.

REVIEW:

 

It's no secret that Cole and Isabel were my favorite characters from the SHIVER trilogy, so when I found out that there was a book dedicated to Cole and Isabel in LA, I was ecstatic.

 

SINNER was great. Cole is so lovable, and Isabel is too, even though shetries not to be. Their banter back and forth was absolutely hilarious, and infuriating at times. The writing, like the last three books, was flawless.

But why only four stars? The reason for that, involves spoilers, so read ahead at your own risk.

SPOILERS. HIGHLIGHT TO VIEW.


The only thing that I didn't like was all of the sexual tension. I really could've done without all of it. It seemed like the only reason Cole and Isabel came back to each other was because they "wanted" each other, and they talk about how much they "want" each other all of the time. I would have liked it better if it was more of a sweet romance, and they thought about other attributes that make them like each other, and not just the sexual aspect. It felt like that was all they ever wanted with each other was just sex, and it bothered me quite a bit.

Overall, I really liked SINNER. A great companion novel to the Wolves of Mercy Falls!

CONTENT: Lots of sexual tension, a few make-out scenes, some topless girls, and an implied sex scene. No language I can recall, and hardly any violence.
