REVIEW:
I am normally not a romance fan; especially NOT contemporary romance. I was one of the few that really didn't like TheFault in Our Stars, and every other contemporary book I've tried to read has bored me to death.
But I had read Kasie West's paranormal duology, PIVOT POINT and SPLIT SECOND, and loved it, so I decided to give THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US a try. And let me tell you, I am SO glad I did.
This book was just so cute. The writing, the witty banter, and the romance was all just so adorable. Caymen's sarcasm with Xander was great, and I was definitely laughing out loud quite a bit while I read.
Plus, it was so clean. One of my main worries with contemporary novels is the "clean" factor (meaning no sex/swearing/violence), but this one was almost squeaky clean. Only one slightly detailed make-out scene. It was so refreshing!
So now, after this book, I will read anything that Kasie West writes. Anything. I'll even read her grocery lists.
Overall, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US was a fantastically adorable book. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a cute, fast summer read!
CONTENT: One slightly detailed make-out scene. No sex, swearing, or violence of any kind.
